ONLINE CONSULTATIONS THROUGH VIRTUAL CLINIC
Online consultations (Virtual Clinic) are a service in the category of telemedicine, which allow doctor-patient interaction in the online environment, through electronic means of communication. The online consultation service is available as an alternative to consultations in the presence of the patient in the doctor’s office, it does not aim to replace the specialist medical consultation.
During the online consultations, the doctors of the Cosmedica clinic will inform you about the procedures, obtain from the patients information about their medical history, evaluate the requests expressed by the patients, and establish together with the patients the future stages of the recommended surgical and non-surgical procedures.
It is the patient’s responsibility to provide as accurate or complete a description of the medical history as possible when requested by the clinic’s doctors.
Given the technological and legal limitations at this time, by accessing this service you represent that you understand the limitations of the online consultation service as explained in this document.
Due to the level of privacy and security required to safely access this type of service, online consultations are only accessible through your individual WhatsApp or Whereby account, both on desktop and mobile.
To access the service, it is necessary to install the free WhatsApp communication application in advance or to access the Whereby video conference link received through the confirmation email of the online consultation. WhatsApp and Whereby are compatible with most popular web browsers.
In addition, access to a working video camera and microphone is required, as well as an Internet connection that allows interaction with the doctor. COSMEDICA Clinic assumes no responsibility if the online consultation cannot take place or is interrupted due to the patient’s equipment or internet connection, in which case the consultation will be carried out at another time.
The consultations will be offered by the doctors of the COSMEDICA clinic, primarily from the medical offices located in the clinic where they work and in special cases from home, with the assurance of doctor-patient confidentiality. The patient is, in turn, responsible for ensuring confidentiality in the space from which he accesses the consultation.
The communication network, the equipment, including the audio-video ones, through which the COSMEDICA clinic offers online consultations are secured, and the doctor’s access to the consultation session is done through strong unique credentials.

Accessing the application by patients will be done in Visitor format, without the need to create an individual account. The data will be processed through Whereby and will transit the Whereby servers located on the territory of the European Union.
The consultation session will not be recorded, and no image or voiceprint will be stored by the COSMEDICA clinic as a result of the online consultation session. It is forbidden to record it by the patient. Otherwise, the doctor will stop the recording as soon as he notices it, reminding the patient of the prohibition. In the event of a repeat violation, the patient will be denied access, without the possibility of a new appointment, following which the usual rules for using the services of the COSMEDICA clinic will be applicable.
The medical information that the doctor will obtain or determine during the consultation will be noted in the patient’s medical record, just as in the case of a clinical consultation, in the office.

To use the online consultation service, all the rules for accessing the services of the COSMEDICA clinic mentioned in the first chapters of this document apply, with strict modifications.
The online consultation service is available as an alternative to consultations in the presence of the patient in the doctor’s office. Accessing this service represents the patient’s consent to the processing of his image and voice under the conditions set out above, as well as acceptance of all the terms and conditions included in the presence section.

Service delivery policy – online consultation
Online consultations will take place through two applications, at the patient’s choice: WhatsApp or Whereby, on the date and time slot chosen by the patient in the consultation scheduling process.
The price of an online consultation will be as follows:
Aesthetic or plastic surgery consultation – 30 – 40 minutes – 200 lei.
The fee is paid in full before the consultation by online payment with a bank card, through the Mobilpay payment processor.
The duration of an online consultation will be a maximum of 40 minutes. Any delay on the part of the Beneficiary will result in the corresponding reduction of the time allocated to the consultation. In the situation where the delay is caused by the Doctor, the time allocated to the consultation will be extended by the appropriate length of time.
Return policy – online consultation
Patients can notify the clinic of canceling the consultation or postponing it to a later date that is free in the doctors’ agenda.
Cancellation of the consultation can be requested at least 24 hours before the consultation and, in this case, the fee paid will be returned to the patient.
